Walk-in Information

If you need emergency contraception (AKA the morning after pill), you can walk in anytime we’re open.

You are welcome to walk in any time the Health Center is open to make an appointment or see if there is a same day appointment available. If you have the time to wait, we will make every effort to fit you in the same day. If we can’t see you, we will give you the first priority appointment available.

If you don't have insurance, you may qualify for a state-funded program or a lower fee scale. If you’re worried about cost, talk to us about how you can get health care that fits your budget.

We’ll never turn you away from the care you need because of your inability to pay.

Services Coverage

Most health insurance plans now cover prescription birth control, annual wellness exams, and HIV and STD screenings with no copay, and many other services with some copay required. Contact your health insurance company directly to confirm that the services you need are covered and what, if any, out of pocket costs you are required to pay.

Appointment Policies and Information

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to check in and complete paperwork.

For most convenient parking, park in structure 4, off of 2nd Street (between Santa Monica Blvd and Arizona). Exit the parking structure into the alleyway, rather than to 2nd street. There will be an entrance into 1316 from this alleyway. Take the stairs or elevator to the second floor where the health center is located.

Childcare Policies

We’re unable to provide childcare at our health center. For safety reasons children need to be accompanied by an adult when they’re in the waiting room. Only infants can accompany you to the exam room. Please bring a friend or family member to be with your children if you don’t have childcare at home.

Services Offered

You can fill your birth control prescriptions at our health center instead of the pharmacy. Available during health center hours.

You can come to us for services that don’t require a medical exam. For example, birth control education and supplies; emergency contraception (AKA the morning after pill); pregnancy testing and counseling; STD testing, and testing and treatments for urinary tract infections.
